We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, post a job listing, or communicate with us. This includes name, email address, professional information such as skills and work history, and payment information processed by our third-party payment provider.

We also collect usage data automatically when you interact with the platform: pages viewed, search queries, job listings clicked, and browser/device metadata. This data is used solely to improve the product.

We use collected information to operate and improve HuntAJob, match job seekers with relevant roles, send transactional emails and the weekly jobs digest (only with your explicit consent), process payments for employer subscriptions, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your email address is never shared with employers without your explicit action of applying.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (privacy-first, no cross-site tracking) to understand aggregate usage patterns. You may disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings - the platform will still function fully.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years).

Job listings are retained for 90 days after expiry for audit purposes, then permanently deleted.

Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, and data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@huntajob.xyz. We will respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), bcrypt password hashing, and regular security audits. Access to production data is restricted to essential personnel only.

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication when available.
